WHAT'S YOUR LIFEPATH NUMBER?

For people with a numerology understanding it is common to have someone ask another, "What's your number?" The germane question is, "Which number?" Is it the Lifepath - that part of the Basic Matrix defined by the birthdate? Is it the Expression - the cipher associated with the birthname? Is it the Performance/Experience or PE - the role of a person's life? Is it the Soul? Material Soul? Nature? Material Nature?
The next germane is, "What does the number mean?" All of these components of the Basic Matrix are explained in The King's Book of Numerology, Volume 1: Foundations & Fundamentals.

Normally, when people ask, "What's your number?" what they're asking is, "What is your Lifepath number?" The LP cipher and its roots define the journey through life and the lessons, both positive and negative, associated with the numbers in question. There are multiple ways to compute the Lifepath number. The most simple way is to place the birth data down (day - month - year), add the numbers left to right and reduce to a single digit. The result will yield the Simple Lifepath Number. Keep in mind there are other ways to compute the Lifepath and other more complex ciphers to consider, but the Simple (single) number will give a general indication of the Lifepath and its meaning.

Computing the Lifepath

Example #1 - Birthday of 13 March 1990

13 March 1990
13  3  1990
1 + 3 + 3 + 1 + 9 + 9 + 0 = 26
2 + 6 = 8 > The Simple Lifepath Number

Example #2: Birthday of 26 September 1998

26 September 1998
26  9  2007
2 + 6 + 9 + 1 + 9 + 9 + 8 = 44
4 + 4 = 8 > The Simple Lifepath Number

Contrasting these two dates, we see the Simple Lifepath number is an 8 in both instances. Yet, the General Root of the first example is 26 while the General Root of the second is 44, not only a master number but a binary root carrying totally different characteristics than those of the 26/8. These differences are critical to more accurately defining the characteristics of the 8 crown (the single cipher). A 26/8 is much different than a 44/8. Both 8s describe life lessons associated with interaction, involvement, management, organization, orchestration and administration, but the 26/8 focuses on relationships (2) in love and family (6) while the 44/8 addresses work, service and duty (4). The 44/8 is the master number associated with great leadership and generalship. Notable leaders such as Thomas Jefferson, Ulysses S. Grant, General George Patton, General Douglas MacArthur and Mother Teresa all have 44/8 dominant in their charts.  For more information regarding this and other components of the Basic Matrix, see The King's Book of Numerology, Volume 1: Foundations & Fundamentals.
