For people with a numerology understanding it is common to have someone
ask another, "What's your number?" The germane question is, "Which
number?" Is it the Lifepath - that part of the Basic Matrix defined by
the birthdate? Is it the Expression - the cipher associated with the
birthname? Is it the Performance/Experience or PE - the role of a
person's life? Is it the Soul? Material Soul? Nature? Material Nature? The next germane is, "What does the number mean?" All of these components of the Basic Matrix are explained in The King's Book of Numerology, Volume 1: Foundations & Fundamentals.
Normally, when people ask, "What's your number?" what they're asking
is, "What is your Lifepath number?" The LP cipher and its roots define
the journey through life and the lessons, both positive and negative,
associated with the numbers in question. There are multiple ways to
compute the Lifepath number. The most simple way is to place the birth
data down (day - month - year), add the numbers left to right and
reduce to a single digit. The result will yield the Simple Lifepath
Number. Keep in mind there are other ways to compute the Lifepath and
other more complex ciphers to consider, but the Simple (single) number
will give a general indication of the Lifepath and its meaning.
Computing the Lifepath
Example #1 - Birthday of 13 March 1990
13 March 1990
13 3 1990
1 + 3 + 3 + 1 + 9 + 9 + 0 = 26
2 + 6 = 8 > The Simple Lifepath Number
Example #2: Birthday of 26 September 1998
26 September 1998
26 9 2007
2 + 6 + 9 + 1 + 9 + 9 + 8 = 44
4 + 4 = 8 > The Simple Lifepath Number
