changes -- if they are destined they will occur naturally as a result
of a deep sense -- conscious or unconscious -- of wanting a new name or
an alteration of the current name. The prominent point regarding
name changes is that we cannot manipulate our destiny, as we may
erroneously believe, by changing our name. However, it may be in
our destiny to make a change of name at some point in time, but to
think it is in our hands to change our destiny is not in keeping with
spiritual law. Our destinies are forged for us before we exit our
mother's womb.

Why such a large number of predestination quotes? To dispel the erroneous belief that life is happenstance. If it were, numerology would not be, could not be, the science that it is. Everything in this universe has order. Our lives are no different. Just because we may not understand the order of the universe does not invalidate its reality.
There have been some name changes, forged in one's destiny, that have been noticeable. One of the most notorious was that of Joseph Stalin, General Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union's Central Committee from 1922 until his death in 1953. Stalin's birth name was Iosif Vissarionovich Dzhugashvili. Early in his adulthood, he changed his name to Joseph Stalin (Josef Stalin), a name meaning "Man of Steel." "Man of Evil" would be more appropriate. Stalin has been credited with murdering some twenty million of his own people. The interesting thing about his name change is that he went from having no master numbers in his chart to no less than six master numbers in dominate positions, giving him enormous power, but power generating more negative karma than he could possibly pay off in no less than twenty million lives. Even if name changes were generally possible, they could be extremely dangerous, like Stalin's. On a personal note, a fellow numerologist consulted me on a client of hers who wanted to change her name. After evaluating all the data, I advised against it. The name she chose was saturated with negative energy. Had such a name change worked, she would have gone directly from the frying pan into the fire.
Manipulating our destinies is impossible. If a name change is to occur, it will occur naturally. One cannot gain wealth, power, fame or anything else by changing one's name. What the Lord had to write is already written. A better plan of managing one's life is to be grateful for it (it could always be worse), and learn to live life with grace while doing all that is possible to gain greater height on the Ladder of Consciousness before the end of this life arrives.
